New fibreglass location cable – to locate non-metallic lines

For metallic lines and pipes, locating the course and determining the depth is no longer a problem, with modern day location technology.

This is different for non-metallic lines. These do not conduct a location signal and can thus not be found without some assistance. To precisely locate non-metallic pipelines it is still necessary to introduce a signal emitter into the pipeline. To do location using a cable like this, SebaKMT has developed the new GOK50.

This fibreglass location cable, with a length of 50 m, is introduced into the pipe to be located and is driven with a signal from an audio signal generator.
The system can be operated with all SebaKMT audio frequency generators.
The GOK50 can be operated in two variants. Depending on the type of connection either just the end of the line (end location) or the entire course (course location) can be fed with a signal.

The GOK50 is equipped with slip-ring contacts, enabling the cable to be wound in or out whilst a signal is being actively transmitted.
